Location & Home Port Harlingen / Amsterdam — Clipper Johanna Engelina
Home Port
From May to October we are moored in Harlingen (Nieuwe Willemskade). From November to April our home port is Amsterdam. Both ports are easy to reach by car, train and public transport. From Harlingen the Wadden Sea is right on the doorstep and the IJsselmeer can be reached within a day's sail.
Harlingen — Summer Season
The port of Harlingen is the departure point for most sailing trips in high season. Harlingen lies on the Wadden Sea and offers direct access to the Wadden Islands of Terschelling and Vlieland. The IJsselmeer can be reached within a couple of hours via the Kornwerderzand locks. You can park on the harbour grounds, and the railway station is within walking distance of the quay.
Amsterdam — Winter Season
In the winter months the Johanna Engelina moves to Amsterdam. Here the ship is available for corporate packages, meetings and events on the IJ waterway. Amsterdam Central Station is a short distance away and the ship is easy to reach from anywhere in the Netherlands.
Other Departure Ports
On request, the Johanna Engelina can also depart from other ports such as Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Muiden or Lelystad. Positioning charges apply in that case. Get in touch with us to discuss the options.
